Careers Information
The careers available in building services engineering are broadly grouped under three categories:

Skilled: the careers available here will generally involve you holding either an NVQ or SVQ Level 2 (where you carry out installation activities and work under supervision), or an NVQ or SVQ Level 3, which involves carrying out more complex work and taking responsibility for both own and others' work.

Technical: people working at this level have a high level or supervisory and technical responsibility. You will be contributing to the development of new technology and procedures.

Professional: as a professional worker you will have a high level of judgement and responsibility, will generally be involved in leadership and management of teams and will be developing new technologies and ways of working.
